It’s that time of year again, high school and college graduations. This can often mean a need for a lot of graduation gifts. As always I look around Pinterest for ideas, that are on the lower end of the cost spectrum.
What I found was great idea for sewing kits. The supplies you’ll need are a small sewing kit, these can usually be bought at Target, Walmart, or a craft store like Hobby Lobby or Michael’s for $3-5. Otherwise you can create your own sewing kit, buying a pin cushion, thread, needles, pins, buttons, and a thimble. You’ll also need a jar with a lid, this can be found at the places mentioned above.
You can buy color specific kits some places that can add to the cohesiveness of the gift, and add extras like measuring tape and more than just the basic thread colors.
Then all you have to do is combine everything into the jar for a space to store all a small sewing kit.
To add to the gift you can tie a ribbon or cloth around it and present it stored in the jar. I added a felt flower on the ribbon.
The different colors can add a personalized touch.
It makes a really cute gift, for people leaving home for the first time. It also is cheap, clocking in around $5 for the supplies.
